Choosing the right immigration agency for your business is an important task to achieve success. But, you may wonder, "How do I choose the right immigration agency Brisbane?".

It is not easy, but you will pick it correctly after reading this article.

Let's say there are 16 questions/factors which should guide your choice in order of importance:

1) How much experience does the company have? An agency is like a doctor - the more experience it has, the better.

2) Can they help me in my unique situation? This question will be answered one-on-one with an advisor or consultant.

3) Do they have any testimonials about how successful their clients are? Watch out for 'prettified' feedback/reviews on their website, which may not reflect reality.

4) What is the agency's level of expertise in my country of origin (and your country)? Again, the answer will depend on where you want to go and whether there is an established network of agents/representatives overseas. Important: Don't automatically assume that someone who claims to do all nationalities has "a lot" of experience.

5) Can they help me fill in my visa application correctly? If not, you will pay extra to a migration agent, so it's better to check the agency's capabilities right from the start.

6) Which languages does the company speak? They should speak your language and that of your destination country. To save money on translation costs, use an English and the local language(s) agency.

7) Do they work with companies overseas (migration agents)? Again, that is strongly preferred as these companies often have representative offices abroad and can assist more efficiently than individual immigrants who want to go there on their own. Note: A network or association membership shows credibility, but affiliation doesn't necessarily make them better.

8) How much does the agency cost? Again, the payment should be proportionate to your needs - not too high or low.

9) What is their experience supporting immigrants who fail to do the proper paperwork or are refused visas? An immigration company will lose its credibility if it cannot help you at any point during your application process.

10) Do they have local contacts (in my home country and/or destination)? This way, problems that may arise with official bodies can be solved quickly.

11) Are visa services included in the fee, or are they charged separately? If visa services are extra, check how much they are before choosing an agency.

12) Is there a local office which I can visit if needed? Of course, it's always advisable to have someone you can meet in person.

13) Is the company licensed by the migration authorities? Ask them for a copy of their licence/accreditation certificate. Again, the website should clearly state whether they are legally authorised or not.

14) Do your employees speak the language of my home country? If it's an Anglo-Saxon country, then English is acceptable; but that would be an advantage if it's another language.

15) Do you produce original documentation or just fill in forms with the information I provide? An agency that does all the paperwork is best, as long as everything looks professional and has no typing errors.

16) What other services do you offer outside immigration? For example, they should give legal advice on visas, residence permits, regulations, taxes and banking.

The agency's staff should be friendly and professional; they should be able to give precise answers to all your questions without confusing you with jargon. One of the most important things is whether you feel comfortable dealing with the people who will help you during the whole process.
