Tell Me Who You Are
Who are you is the question that this exhibition invites us to answer through an ample spectrum of artistic proposals. From the general programme to the curated sections, ARCOmadrid offers the opportunity to discover the work of artists like Jon Rafman, who reflects on the role of images in a digital society. Likewise, Lua Ribeira and Pilar Aymerich are pioneers in the gender perspective of Spanish photography or Widline Cadet and Sebastian Bruno, who are breaking with conventional boundaries of contemporary art.
El Prado de Noche also opens its doors on Saturdays to allow visitors to visit the exhibition spaces at zero cost. The offer is varied and includes thematic shows, a film projection and even a cafeteria service. This month we can enjoy an immersive experience based on Stanley Kubrick’s films or a photographic survey of Boris Savelev and a retrospective of Erwin Olaf, the renovator of narrative aesthetics. We can also explore the connections between cinema and fashion through Jean Paul Gaultier or visit the exhibition devoted to Leonora Carrington, a British artist who lived in Spain from 1938 until 1940.

The Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall was a massive concrete barrier that divided the city between East and West. It included miles of patrolled trenches, watchtowers, guard dog runs and floodlights that deprived people of their ability to move freely. It claimed more than 130 victims during its lifespan and was finally removed in 1998.
At the same time, a memorial for the victims of the Berlin Wall was established in the place where it once stood. The monument was designed by Manfred Fischer and consists of a simple stele with an engraving.
