- Basic Tapping Sequence to Feel at Peace
The Basic Tapping Sequence is at the heart of EFT. Its design easily eliminates stress and anxiety in your system, allowing room for peace.
Step 1: Identify the Emotion: First, identify whatever is disturbing your peace. It could be stress, worry, or a specific fear. Note how strongly you feel about this emotion on a scale of 0 to 10.
Step 2: Set-Up Statement Utilizing the side of your hand, which is called the Karate Chop point, tap and say a set-up statement three times.
The set-up statement acknowledges what you are feeling and also includes a phrase of self-acceptance. For instance, "Even though I'm feeling anxious about [the situation], I totally and completely accept myself."
Step 3: Tapping Sequence Tap on the following points while repeating a reminder phrase that summarises the emotion: e.g. this anxiety
- Top of the head
- Eyebrow
- Side of the eye
- Under the eye
- Under the nose
- Chin
- Collarbone
- Under the arm
Step 4: Reassess and Repeat: Once it is done, you rate your sensation again. If your level of sensation remains high, you should go back and retap through the sequence until it decreases. The more the sensation decreases, the more peace you will feel inside.
